The old Counter-Strike v1.5 files were added about a week ago to provide for anyone who'd still like to download it.
Also, a few cosmetic changes have been made.
Soon to come will be some new 'specialty' maps to add to CSF's large map collection. |

| Super Fast Steam / Skins / Maps Downloads! |

The Steam downloads have now been uploaded to our download servers, and are available through the 'Files' link on the sidebar!
We're currently hosting the standalone Steam client, the Steam client with CS v1.6 and the Full Steam Installer.
In addition, we've *UNCAPPED* our 100 Mbit/sec download server for a limited time!
This means you can go as fast as your connection takes you (up to 1 MegaByte/sec or 8 Mbit/sec - can't let you take up the whole connection  ), on not only the Steam downloads, but also the maps and skins downloads!

Finally, we'll soon be putting up our own CS server - and we're looking for several competant admins.

| New CSF! |

Cstrike-Fortress has now been acquired by RevolutionHosting.net!
The acquisition has already been completed, and we're getting to work on it right away!
What does this mean for the site?
- Conversion to a more professional backend
- Steady and regular flow of updates
- New maps and skins
- Faster downloads from our powerful dedicated downloads server!
- Content enhancements - articles, tutorials, screenshots and map/skin descriptions and reviews
- Merging of the site's individual parts - news and site members will now be powered by the forums
- Opportunities for community members to partcipate more with the site, including staff positions and possible co-ownership
I've outlined our roadmap for Cstrike-Fortress with Feras, and he's definitely excited about the updates!
We also plan to discuss all of our major future updates with both Feras and all of our members.
Additionally, we hope to make it as easy as possible to contribute to the site.
Members will be able to submit screenshots, articles, maps and skins more easily, and several staff members should be available to help manage the submission process quickly.
Finally, I would like to note that all of our changes will be progressive, slowly improving the site instead of attempting to completely overhaul it. We will strive to make a better CSF for everyone, instead of turning this great site into something substandard - and we hope we have your support in this! =)
